MEN’S FLECHE WALLONNE
Created in 1936 on the initiative of two Brussels journalists, la Flèche Wallonne and its famous “wall” of Huy form, together with Liège-Bastogne-Liège, the second part of the Ardennes week-end. Many cycling experts consider la Flèche Wallonne as an exemplary classic on account of its uniform course, hilly practically from beginning to end and its balanced nature. Its main features are a regular saw-tooth profile, difficulties which are judiciously spread over the course without long stretches and a distance under 200 kms.
